How can i get rid of a swollen pimple that has already been popped?

i had a pimple in my upper lip and it was swollen. i could see the whitehead coming out already so i popped it but a red bump stayed there. its big and it looks horrible. i need to get rid of it because tomorrow is picture day at my school. someone help me please!|||sorry, it is not going to heal that quickly.|||Sorry, but you%26#039;re not going to totally get rid of it by tomorrow. In the meantime you can keep gently pressing a hot, wet wash cloth on it. This will help draw the poison out. Beyond that, think about using some kind of cover up makeup or lipstick/lip gloss that perhaps matches/disguises the redness.

Get a good night%26#039;s sleep. This will help the healing process.

Good luck!|||Oh, man! If you still feel a painful lump under the skin, there%26#039;s more gunk to get out...if its just a surface pain, then you got it all out and its just swollen.

Two de-swelling methods:

1. I like to freeze %26#039;em with an icecube wrapped in a thin towel (hold it on for 30 min or so...this kills all the bacteria). This works great if you catch it early - it will never become a pimple!

2. You can also put toothpaste on it overnight.

You%26#039;ll still have to cover-it-up with makeup, but it won%26#039;t be swollen.|||I wish I knew the aspirin trick someone posted earlier when I was your age. Crush the aspirin, wet it and apply to the whole pimple. Aspirin will reduce the inflammation and redness. Secondarily, practice poses where you can be 3/4 turned to the camera so the part of your face with the pimple is hidden.|||Hey,

The old fashioned and best way is to put ice on it.

If you cant be bothered holding it, put an elastic/material headband around ur head and the cube underneath against the sore.

Dont touch it also!

Thats the best way to reduce bump + redness...

Good luck!|||Leave it alone!!! It will go down by tomorrow enough that you can put some makeup on it. You can also try Clear-Eyes or Visine which restrict the tiny blood vessels to reduce swelling and redness (one of those strange remedies that actually works).|||Well, get like something sharp like tweezers and squeeze it. when it starts to go flat, turn it the other way and squeeze. once it pops, you need to squeeze again but slowly, and white puss will come out and then wash your face.|||put a lot of acne cream on it, then in the morning do your best to cover it up with foundation and powder... i don%26#039;t think there is any way to completely get rid of it.|||Dude. ont thin kabout it. and dont pic kat it. By the morning it should have gone down enough to hide with a little foundation of somthing. Ask one of the girls at schoool for some of this.|||wash it in cold water and soap and most importantly DO NOT TOUCH IT .... try cover-up k?

answer mine pretty please with a cherry on top!!

If the redness is not gone by tomorrow apply on makeup on it. I hope this helps|||The only way to do that is to freeze it off like a mole. You have to wait, it takes time even with creams.|||Ice, Hydrocortizone,

My Dr. perscribed straight Benzoyl Peroxide...you can get it at your local drug store.|||ice it so it doesn%26#039;t swell and then leave it alone. to keep it clean put something on it with benzoyl peroxide and then ask your mom for cover up or something if its still bad. ;)|||Put concealer over it in the morning. At night put Ret-N-Ae on it, it is clinically proven. I use it all the time!|||definitely hydrocortizone cream, overnight it works wonders.|||Im so sorry 4 you.try a little make -up for the quick fix.neisborne is good 4 the long haul.|||OMG... reminds me of Spongebob and picture day! LOL Put toothpaste on it. It should be gone by tomorrow.|||Since your so short with time (which is what it really needs to go away) try using some cover up on it.|||it%26#039;ll go down by tomorrow. but some toothpaste on it.|||well you cant. it will heal fastest if you don%26#039;t touch it but you could use some cover up.|||ice, then major amounts of concealer on picture day... it won%26#039;t look cakey in the pic...|||You could try putting hydrocortizone cream on it. It%26#039;s worked for me.|||Tea tree oil is the best for almost all skin conditions.|||Yeah, sorry. Its gonna take at least two days. There are always retakes!|||eat some toast...hopefully this will help u feel better|||make up.

if its not gone in the morning hit up her concealer.|||sorry to say this but you cant get rid of it in one day it takes time|||get aspirin get it wet and crush it up and add water till a paste then apply..hope this helps!!!|||Ice Cube!

Wash your face with a gentle cleanser. It should be hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic and alcohol-free. Use very warm water up to, at least, 20 seconds. Cold and lukewarm water doesn%26#039;t dissolve oil or kill germs nearly as well, but hot water irritates the skin and causes flaking.

Rinse thoroughly for another 20 seconds and pat dry with a clean towel.

Dab the pimple with a 100%-cotton pad soaked in an all-natural astringent such as witch hazel to assure no extra dirt or residue is left behind.

Take a clean washcloth and run part of it under very hot water. Do this for about 60 seconds, re-running the cloth under hot water if it starts to cool off.Immediately apply it directly to the pimple, so you can open up the pore and make it easier and less painful to pop.

An alternative is to gently slide the warm washcloth over the pimple several times, without squeezing or pushing into the pimple.

You can substitute a salt water mix in a damp (not dripping) cotton ball to soak the pimple for 1-3 minutes.

Using cotton swabs, cotton balls, or your finger tips, very gently pull outward, around the pimple more than towards the center. It should not take much effort. If it doesn%26#039;t burst, do not try to apply harder pressure. Soak the pimple in warm water again and retry.

The cotton swabs and cotton balls are preferable because they are less likely to damage your skin, whereas the tips of your nails can cause intense irritation.

If you do use your finger tips as a last resort, thoroughly apply some hand sanitizer all over your hands first.

Wipe the pus up with another cotton pad or your finger.

Wait 10 to 20 seconds, then start to press the pimple gently again with clean fingers. Repeat as needed and/or until you start to see blood emerging.

Wrap your finger in a new cotton pad and press gently right on top of the pimple to stop the bleeding.

Leave it be for a minute or two--don%26#039;t touch it, cover it, or apply anything to it right away. After it%26#039;s had a chance to chill out, wash your hands thoroughly, then wash your face as directed in the first step.

Spread a generous amount of aloe vera gel or an antibiotic ointment onto the pimple, then cover with a bandage. If you dislike the bandage on your face for cosmetic reasons, you can apply the aloe or ointment and then leave it uncovered, though covering it would be most effective.

Replace the bandage and apply more ointment or aloe once or twice a day. If the area is still swollen, wrap an ice cube in a paper towel and hold it against the bandage for 30-60 seconds at a time.|||ICE
